Mr. Skidmore was raised in Mexico City, Mexico, the son of a Fortune 500 Regional VP and speaks fluent Spanish. He attended Sewanee Military Academy, Sewanee, Tennessee, and graduated from the American High School in Mexico City. In 1973, Mr. Skidmore was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies-International Business from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas.  He began his business career as a sales representative in Mexico City. 

Before returning to Mexico, Mr. Skidmore headed Skidmore & Associates, an international consulting firm specializing in marketing, sales, finance and real estate.  Skidmore & Associates was founded in Dallas, Texas in 1984 and relocated to Houston where the international market was more prevalent.  During the latter part of the 1990s, the majority of Mr. Skidmore’s business was an interrelation between firms in  Mexico and the United States.  In the summer of 2000 he relocated to San Miguel de Allende, Gto.

Mr. Skidmore has been licensed by the National Association of Securities Dealers as a Registered Principal, Registered Financial Principal and Registered Municipal Principal.  He has also held a Texas Real Estate Brokers License, a Texas Insurance License. Currently, Mr. Skidmore is one of only a few to be certified in Mexico as a licensed real estate person to represent real estate firms in the country of Mexico.

Mr. Skidmore is committed to assisting his international clientele in the purchase/sale/rental of real estate in the San Miguel de Allende, Mexico market. San Miguel is an ideal expatriate community, which has attracted Americans for several decades.

Mr. Skidmore is an avid sports enthusiast, having grown up playing golf at a very early age with his mother, the Mexican Open Women's Golf Champion.  Other sports of interest include tennis and snow skiing.
